Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Miles we opened one present on Christmas eve. The kids were so excited to get to open a gift before they went to bed. Mom knew that grandma likes to give the kids PJ's for Christmas and since we stayed home I thought it would be nice for them to have their PJ's to sleep in. They all look so cute in them and they all loved them a lot!

We just want to say Happy birthday to our sweet Mattie! Mattie is now Three year old! Mattie is full of energy, smiles, and attitude. Mattie loves to play with her brothers and sister. She loves her giant my little pony. She enjoys coloring, playing with play dough, and dressing up. We are so grateful for the three wonderful years we have had to enjoy her as part of our family. We had a great day, Aunt Em came and when she comes everyone has a ton of fun! They played games, jumped on the tramp, colored, and just had fun! Then we went to DI, Mattie has wanted to go all week. We had dinner at artic circle, opened gifts ,then headed to a birthday party for one of David's friends little girl. The party was at a gymnastic place they had so much fun playing in the foam pit! Today was a great day!

Ethans Thanksgiving Program

We are proud of Ethan and how well he is doing in first grade. They had a program where all the kids had parts they were to memorizes and coral speak with several other students. Ethan did a great job on his part.

First day of preschool

Kyra was able to start preschool, better late than not at all. This preschool is for kids with IEP's and they have peer students to help them out. They received a new student with a IEP so they need her as a peer student. Kyra was excited to be able to go to school. I can't believe how much she has grown up and how cute she is. I was a little concerned how Mattie would do having her sister go to school without her. The first day she threw a huge fit before we took Kyra. I was afraid to take her in to the for fear of the fit she might throw but the teacher talked to her and she happily came home with me. Kyra is really enjoying the opportunity she has to go to school. Mom is enjoying the time she has to spend with Mattie. The first day we made and played with play dough.

After bring Graysen home we were all visiting in the living room when the girls when out side to play. They had been gone for a while when Kyra started to come in to tell us what they were doing when David saw out the window grandma's roundabout in the back yard. Those two little girls pulled it out of the garage and down the drive to the neighbors yard then to our back yard. They ended by getting high centered on the curbing. How did they get so far and then end up getting stuck on the curb? We all would have love to see them on this adventure but know we would have put a stop to it and not just watched to see what would happen. They got in big trouble but that did not stop them from taking it out for another stroll the next day.

Day two we had several visitors first was my sister in law Kim and her daughters Whitney, Heather, and Heather husband joey. It was fun to see them and watch them fight over who would get to hold Graysen. I think they all held him at least three different times! Then my friend Annie came with her three little one and brought us a cute tiny little outfit so we can always remember how little he really was. A little later in the day I had another knock at the door and to my surprise it was my little man Ethan grinning from ear to ear excited to get to see his mom and brother again. Grandpa brought him to visit and made sure we enjoyed our visit. the nurse came in and asked if they could get us anything and my dad suggested they bring him some cookies and milk. Ethan and I enjoyed having a Oreo dunking party and just hanging out with Graysen and Grandpa. Then David came to join me for our stork dinner provided by the hospital. We enjoyed our dinner and some quiet time together with Graysen. The Cooks had a baby girl the same day so they brought there baby over for a little visit. All in all we had a great second day in the hospital spent with great people.

Ethan's 6th Birtday Part 2

Ethan chose to take cupcakes to school for his birthday to share with his classmates. There were a few extra so he brought them home. He deiced it would be great to have them after lunch. We found a candle and the girls and I sang Happy birthday to him. He really wanted to open his presents but I told him he had to wait till dad got home. He was very bummed but happy we had a little lunch celebration.

Ethan's 6th Birtday Part 1

We went to Boise the weekend before Ethan's birthday so we could spend time with family and have fun! David took Ethan Skiing and they had a lot of fun together. Ethan even got to take a few runs with his cousin Kayden. Sunday we had dinner with both of our family's. Grandma and grandpa Miles got Ethan a really cool pirateology book. Ethan loves to go on pirate adventures with grandpa Miles. Grandma and grandpa Hodges gave him a bunch of chapter books witch he love to have read to him every night before bed.

Silly Sleeper

Mattie is a funny little girl she really hates to go to sleep for some reason. She is usually the last one to bed and one of the first up. Mattie will come in and sleep on our floor instead of in her bed even when you take her back to bed it is not long till she finds her way back to our floor. The top picture is a day she hadn't had a nap and then was so tired she feel asleep standing up! sleeping on the stairs was a night she refused to go to be after having milk and books a cuddle time with dad so he put her in bed and she kept coming down and finally decided she was not going to get her way so I guess I will just sleep on the stairs.

Well we are going to be having a new little Stinker Join our family! I say a stinker because it scared mommy to death. I went to the doctor for my monthly check up, but when thePA started looking for the heart beat he couldn't find it. So of couse I was freaking out, but holding it in the best I could. After million years and a few quarts of blood later we finally get into the ustrasound room. Low and behold there is this little stinker streaking around my womb. Because it was running away from the ultrasound we still couldn't get a good heartbeat--at least it was a heartbeat. It made me happy that it stopped to say "Hi Mom! I'm O.K.!".

David Has a work Christmas Party every year, it is a lot of fun for the kids! We go and eat Pizza for lunch and play a few game and wait and wait to see Santa! Santa is worth the wait because we get a fun picture and the kids get a Christmas gift! Ethan got a yo-yo Frisbee thing. He really wanted a B-Ball but mom and dad know he would be getting one form us so he finally chose the Frisbee. Kyra picked a recorder you know the kind that make lots of noise. Mattie found herself a cute soft baby doll! She loves that baby so much!

My sister in law gave us a giant watermelon! When we opened it was not the greatest tasting watermelon but it gave us some great entertainment and the kids loved it! Just look at the joy on their faces as they dive right in to the watermelon. They had a great time trying to eat those giant pieces!

Ethan was so excited to go to school!We asked if he wanted us to take him the first day.with out hesitation he said No I want to ride the bus! So we let him ride the bus. I think the bus ride may have really been what he was so excited about any way! He got right on and didn't look back! We are so glad he is excited school! It makes it a lot easier to send them off to school everyday!

Dad drove in to work late so that he could see his little guy off for his first day of school! I love this picture it truly shows the love and interest David has for his kids. He is giving him a little pep talk and a reminder to be good!

A Big thanks to all my family for a great mothers day! It started out with everyone crawling in bed with us. Then they decided to bring me my gifts. They gave me a new binder for my coupons,candy bars, a Glee CD, and best of all a new camera! our old camera was not working very well. I was excited to use my new camera so all of these pictures are from that morning. When I was finished opening my gifts Ethan ran out of my room and came back with something behind his back and ran up to me and said oh yea here is your breakfast in bed! he handed me this very green banana. Ethan is such a sweet and thoughtful boy. After a good laugh we decided to get up and have a real breakfast so we had french toast and fruit salad. Thanks again for all the love and a great day! I have the best Family!

EASTER MORNING

The Easter bunny found our house and left tons of eggs hidden all over the house! The kids had a great time finding the eggs!( We did our own Easter egg hunt inside because it had snowed Saturday morning and we didn't want to dress up in winter clothes to hunt for eggs.) He also left them gifts in their baskets. They were very excited! It was a great Easter Sunday not only did we get to celebrate the resurrection of our savior, we also had the chance to watch and listen to the prophet and apostles and feel the great spirit it brought to our home. At our house this means we get conference waffles which are very delicious . Defiantly not good for you but that is why we have chosen to only have them twice a year on conference Sunday. It was also awesome to have Emilee come and hang out with us. The Kids always have a great time with her and ask for weeks afterward when she is coming back. All in all it was a very cool (cold) weekend.

Surprise

Surprise surprise !!! We drove home from Boise at night time so Ethan was asleep when we got home and put him to bed. When he woke up he had a big surprise his room was all painted! While we were in Boise David worked hard at work and then came home and did this cool paint job in Ethan room. Ethan was so surprised when he woke up. I was only a little alert when he woke up but I could hear he was excited. Then he came running in and said my room is so awesome! Then he crawled up and told his dad how awesome it was. He has wanted his room painted since we painted the girls room. We are glad it turned out so well and he loves it! Now mom just needs to hurry and bind his quilt and make some curtains to make it complete! Oh yea and change out his lamp!

Grandma Miles asked Ethan what kind of cake he wanted for his birthday he said a star wars cake! So grandma and mom worked together to make this cake. Thanks grandma for all the help. It turned out great Ethan loved it. He also loved all the gifts he was given the Rino game, cars book,giant coloring book, lunch box, toys and scooter. He had a great birthday dinner corn beef and cabbage which has been the tradition since he was born! After this party we went to Lynn and Sara's for a big party they were having. Ethan had fun playing with all of his cousins and the other kids who were there. He was so sad to have to go!

Ethan we are so glad to have you in our family. You are a great big brother that watch out for his sisters. You love to play play play! You love to go go go! You are always wanting to play with friends. You love being out side riding your bike, scooter, and just running and playing. You have a great time at preschool even when you don't really want to go. You learn more in preschool that you will tell us. But some times you slip and let us see the may things you have learned. You have a great smile not to mention your cute dimples that always brightens peoples day. Ethan we love you so much.

Snowboarding With Dad

Ethan tried out a snowboard one day when we were sledding he did really well on it so David decided to take him up to the ski hill. Ethan and dad had a lot of fun but found out it was a lot of work. They didn't stay to long but were worn out and soaked from the inside out not the outside in. Ethan also decided next time he would just do skis. hopefully next year we can take everyone up.

Mattie has started wanting to eat cold cereal and eat it all by her self! She really does a good job most days. I think she is just the cutest thing eating up to the table with her little bowl and spoon. It is so funny how she put the spoon in her mouth and then follows up with her other had. On most day she eat more than the other kids. You can tell she is happy to not be in her high chair.

Coloring

Kyra found a book this morning that had coloring pages in it, Ethan asked if Kyra could have crayons so she could color in it. I then found them some crayons and some more coloring books for both of them. It was a hit they all had fun coloring together. Mattie even joined in for a little while, but her new found freedom of climbing took over and nothing could stop her. First she climbs on to the chair then to the table. There she takes a stand as the Queen of the table. You can take her down as many times as you like but you will soon find she has found her rightful spot as Queen of the table once again! The last picture is a great moment for me as a mother. I was down stairs with Ethan and Kyra when they went upstairs. I thought for sure they were making a mess or getting into things they should not,but this is what I found. It was so sweet to see them sharing a chair and a coloring book with no fighting involved what a great moment!

Kyra has been asking for piggies lately and so I take the time to put them in. I think she looks so cute. Now I just have to figure out how to get her to leave them in. Think your a goofy and awkward 1 -4 year old kid, always slobering, runny nose, with food all over your clothes, but the second you put those sun glasses on you're the cool cat in the world. The girls Love just hanging out. Kyra thinks it is really funny to use her kitchen as a jungle gym rather than a food preparation area.The Kids love the Bean Bags their grandma Ireta gave them too. Potty Training

OK you will get a kick out of this. Kyra just pooped in her pants or so she was walking like she had. Yet when I went to change her panties there was nothing their. So where did it go because you could tell by the skids in her panties then down her leg that some thing happpened. I ran down stair to tell all the kids to hold still or you might find something. Half way down the stairs Ethan yells gross I stepped in poop mom. So just as I figured it was on the floor.I know gross. I begin to get it cleaned up then I stepped in some.Just when I thought I got it all Mattie found some luckily I was standing right by her so she didn't eat it. Oh the fun of potty training. May be I need to get that book!I hope we don't find any more poo. unless it is in the potty!

Kyra's Pretty Piggies

Kyra's hair is starting to get a little longer now and sometimes she asks to have piggies put in her hair. However, she only leaves them in for a short time. Ethan thinks it cool too, when I was putting the piggies in Ethan came a long and said I should put a lot of piggies in Kyra's hair so I put as many as I could. I think maybe she might get some hair before she goes to kindergarten.

Lights at Temple Square

We had a great time at Temple Square with grandma and grandpa Miles looking at all the lights and nativity scenes. We were also able to watch a few performances in the tabernacle one of the groups were Japanese drummers. Then we went to dinner at Chuck A Rama. Thanks grandma and pa pa for a great night. After that we stop by Dusty and Leeann's to see cute little Connor. Ethan even stayed awake to take a peek. He sure loves Connor and can't wait till he is better so he can see him again and hold him.

Courtney's wedding day!

Courtney is a beautiful bride and we are so happy for her and Drew. It was wonderful to be able to attend their sealing in the Bountiful Temple. It was a cold and snowy day but very beautiful and eventful. A pipe burst in the entry way of the temple so they told us we could not go out the front doors but our children were in the waiting room which was by the front door. They ended up letting us go get them and we waited long enough that they got the water shut off and were cleaning up all the water as we left. Needless to say it was a little crazy and most of us missed Courtney and Drew coming out of the Temple. We were going to do family picture at the temple but that didn't work out so we ended up doing that at the church . They had a great luncheon. After the luncheon we all went to Brits house for a bit. Then we deiced it was a great day to go play in the snow so we got all geared up and went back to the church. They had a great little hill so sled on. Every one had a great time. Ethan even got to try snowboarding and loved it. He did really well and wants us to take him again. Thanks to my family for all the fun times a great memories.

Finally Christmas morning. We celebrated Christmas morning at Grandma and Grandpa Hodges house were we open presents from the family. Then for breakfast we went to Sharis for Breakfast with the Miles clan, where Julie fixed our breakfast for us and it was delicious.After breakfast we loaded up the car and drove home to Rigby. This was the fun and excitement they had when they came in the door after being in the car for 4 1/2 hours. Christmas was great!

T'was the night before the night before Christmas and all through the house there was lots of ruckus and fun to be had. Grandma got a little kitchen for Christmas that the kids Loved too. Like always the fondue was awesome! LeeAnn's Hay Stacks were missing, but she made up for that later. It was fun to watch everybody open their presents. Julies bought some really cool toys for the kids and gave us a night out basket which is way cool, thank you Julie your the best.
Grandma gave the kids new jammies with matching ones for the girls. Grandma also got them games, books , and bath paints which they wanted to use immediately. It has been a long family tradition to sleep under the tree Christmas eve eve. So EmiLee, Julie, Janel, Travis and the kids and a fun playing under the tree with a little sleep after 1:00 A.M.. And for our Anniversary we went and slept in a tree at the Anniversary Inn.

We all had a great time playing out in the first snow of the season. We did a little bit of sledding building of a snow fort, riding a tricycle and crashing, snow angles snow ball fight. It was a ton of fun! Mattie even loved it until mom took her in because she lost her boots and was really cold . Going inside made her really mad!

Fort Ethan

Ethan Built this fort in the living room. He dragged in all the stools and gathered up all the blankets and towels he could find. He wanted to make sure no light entered in. Kyra and Ethan played for a long time in and out of the fort. For a snack Ethan wanted to roast marshmallows like he did at grandpa's but mom was the party pooper on that idea. I did let them have gram crackers and marshmallows and what ever else they found and snuck in to the fort. They made a big mess but they had lots of fun.

Thanksgiving was in McCammon this year at grandma and grandpa Hall's house. Grandma and Grandpa Miles were there as well as Dusty,LeeAnn, Janel, and EmiLee. It was great to get together with the family for some really yummy food and hangin out. We didn't get any pictures of this great day except one Auntie LeeAnn took of Ethan enjoying the Turkey Drum stick.

For Mattie's Birthday we went to Pizza hut for dinner.Brice one of Davids friends from work joined us. After Pizza we enjoyed watching Mattie eat her cake. We all had cupcakes. After pizza hut we went to TSR for a new comers org. get together. Their we raced go carts and played on big blow up jumpy toys. Mattie slept most of the time we were their. Ethan Had a lot of fun. He was able to ride the kids go carts all by him self. mom was very nervous to she him drive. He actually did really well. Kyra and Ethan both had fun playing in the bounce house and on the slides.

Ethan was so excited for school. He was a little upset when he found out that he would not be riding the bus. I then found out that he had a lot of expectation of what school would be. He wanted to go to the newly built elementary school by our church. When I told him preschool would be at someones house he wanted to know if he would have a principal, recess and homework. I think he must have been paying close attention to the neighbor kids that started kindergarten. He was still very excited and ready to head out the door and did not want to hold still for a picture. Kyra was also very excited. I think she thought she would get to go also. when I went to pick him up he was happy and said he had a good time. As we started up the stairs he said he need his homework. The teacher told him they didn't have home work and he began to cry. He ended up throwing an all out tantrum like nothing I ever seen before. Of course his teachers ended up giving him a work sheet to make him happy.That was not what he wanted. I dragged him out of the house screaming and crying about homework. I forced him into the car and he yelled and cried all the way home go back and get my homework. I finally got him to calm down after throwing my own tantrum. Once he was calmed down he told me he just wanted a plain piece of paper like one from the printer. So now we know that when he asks for home work to give him a plain white paper. He has loved school and we have not had any other issues.

Roaring Youth Jam

Yesterday, we went to the roaring youth jam which was along the Snake River Green belt.
They had tons of free arts and crafts stuff to do. Ethan and Kyra finger painted, made color sand pictures. Ethan made a batman mask and splatted paint all over a giant xylophone. We all had fun doing the hula hoops.Kyra thought she was doing awesome as she twirled around with the hula hoop held tightly to her side. They had a bunch of junk that you could beat on and try to be like stomp, the kids enjoyed beating on all the junk and making a royal racket. After arts and crafts we got some Mexican corn like in NachoLibre and it was really good.
There were firemen out letting the kids spray at a target with smaller hoses which still had a good enough kick that the firemen still had to hold onto the hoses. Ethan liked it , butKyra was a natural (trouble maker) firefighter. The hoses sprayed toward the greenbelt were everybody was walking and were safe if the kids sprayed thetraget. Kyra got board with holding the hose so she started pushing the hose back and forth sometimes getting the water close to the people on the path. The fireman was nice enough to say she had a nice spraying pattern, but he doesn't knowKyra like we do.
There were some really cool cars at the car show like the the dolorian, like the one in Back to the Future, and an Erkel car a little one door three wheeled BMW. There was a jet boat race going on which was cool to watch the boats race down the river. The national guard wad there with a blow up obstacle course and a climbing wall. Ethan thought the climbing wall was cool in line, but made it about half way up.
After we got done at the greenbelt the we went to a little battle of the high school bands where Ethan got his hair punked out green. He really got into it by slam dancing and crowed surfing, but he stopped after getting his nose scrapped up and a black eye. After that we had some yummy mandarinChinese food and then we went and got some Reed's Dairy Ice Cream which is super good. And made right here in Idaho Falls. It was a super fun day.

This is Kyra all tucked in the mom and dads sleeping bag fast asleep.

We tried to go on a hike but we couldn't find a good trail to take. We ended up just going for a little walk and spent most of the time playing with the sling shot that David brought along.Ethan and his new friend had fun taking turns trying to hit a water bottle or just any thing. David was actually a pretty good shot I was impressed. It was fun to see the dads having fun with their boys.

David got this one out of Ethan's book. When we go on our Sunday walks Ethan always picks me a couple of wild flowers and I tell him how nice that was and how romantical he is. David then tries to make up by pick me a flower, but it's not the same because he didn't think of it first. On Friday night after dinner David and Kyra went out for a hike and came back with a cute little bouquet of flowers for me. I loved them, Kyra loved them, and another girl from the ward took them home.

It's something you only dream about, but Saturday that dream came true. All you can eat ice cream at the scoop jam in Idaho falls. Yep, we made our self sick on the ice cream. They had Reed's dairy, Cold Stone, Farr's, Leatherby's, Sub-zero(ice cream made with liquid nitrogen), and Sarah's candy cottage. They also had live music, jumping houses, eating contest, and face painting. It was a fun time and good eats. Ethan got in Sunday's newspaper; front page of the west section, FULL COLOR!(See photo above) We even gave in and let little Mattie Lynn have a bite.

Ethan's First Soccer Practice.

Ethan had his first soccer practice today. There are 3 Boys and 3 girls on his team. We learned that they have 4 kids playing from each team at a time during the games. There is no goalie, no score and no rules. Well that's how the coach looks at it. It was a fun practice. The kids all listen for about 15 minutes and then the practice went a little crazy. What can you expect from four year olds? Most of the fun was in the days leading up to the practice because Ethan was so excited to go. He told everybody we met that day he was going to soccer practice. He ran thru Wal-Mart screaming about how he was getting soccer sock for soccer practice. He also listened better when the option of not going to soccer was placed before him. It should be a fun summer buzzy with soccer.

Stunt Man Extraordinaire

This is out little stunt man extraordinaire! We just thought he was getting ready to ride his bike, but Ethan had his sights on something bigger, faster, and Louder. He was going to drive our John Deere lawn tractor. He was successful for about 6 feet as he headed strait for the back of our van. Luckily we got it stopped before he did any damage. Normally we take the key out just for that reason, but I think Ethan had this one planned out. Our neighbors were using the tractor to move our grass clippings to their yard, and when our neighbor came back to get more clippings she got off for a second then Ethan jumped on and took off. What a goofy kid.

Well as most of you know we have new neighbors! Ethan has made sure that we have become good friends. He wakes up each morning and says can I go to Remi's now? Very often he just run over with out asking. He spends so much time there he might as well live with them. I Don't feel so bad any more because Keller their son has started to do the same with us. He love to come play in the basement. The other day we decided to go to the park in Idaho Falls. We all enjoyed playing at the park. the pictures below are Remi and Ethan then Keller and Kyra and the bottom one is Jack. It is so nice that they all get along so well.

Mesa Falls

Finally the snow is gone and the weather is better so we have decided to start exploring the terrain around Rigby. Plus we have 9:00 o'clock church and needed away to subdue the wild animals that live in our house. We have found Sunday afternoon drives do the trick. A couple of weeks ago we drove up to Palisades Reservoir, but first we stopped off at Palisades creek camp ground to have a picnic. When we got there we noticed there was a hiking trail so after lunch we went for a short hike. We are very regretful that we didn't have a camera because there was a cool water fall and some neat looking cliffs. We soon realized we were very unprepared for a hike and turned back to the car. Ethan was very distraught for he wanted to hike further down the trail. As we continued toward the car we gave Ethan a lesson on how we were very unprepared for a hike and gave him an equipment list of what we need to be more prepared.
Sunday May 31, we set out to see the lower Mesa Falls just North of Ashton. We thought we were more prepared this week, but we were wrong. We forgot the insect repellent and the mosquitoes were very thick they about carried Kyra off. We went down to the falls had some nice lady take a picture and ran back to the car. Then as we were ready to leave I looked at the camera and notice the nice lady didn't get the falls in the picture so I ran down to the falls and snapped a picture to prove that we were actually at Mesa falls. The drive was very beautiful and the kids had fun too. Next time we will have the bug spray ready.

Deacon and Ethan had a blast catching up on being best buddies from when Deacon lived in Boise. I think both were glad to have somebody to graple with.
The great thing about wedding receptions is that you get to catch up with family and have fun hanging out with them it was cool.

10 thousound square foot of sod

Our sod arrived Thursday around 5:oo we were able to start laying it around 6:00 or 6:30. We were thankful for some great neighbors who saw we could use some help and came to the rescue. we had the front yard done by about 8:30. I can't believe how nice it looks to have grass! I have also been able to get some flower in. It is starting to look great.

Getting ready for the sod was a lot of work. All the piles are rock that we raked up. It took us all day Friday to get the sod laid in the back. David started about 5:30 and I made it out of bed at 6:30. We worked all day OK so it was about 12:00 when we called it a night. We are very excited to have grass. The kids are already having lots of fun running and playing on it. Thanks again to all who have helped in the process of helping us make this rockie ground ready for grass.

Ethans Mohawk

Ethan hates to have his hair washed, but it was so long and stinky so I had to find a way to make it cool to have his hair washed and the Mohawk happened.

Ethan thought the bath tub Mohawk was so cool I used hair glue to make him a real Mohawk. Now he can't say I never let him do any, but missionary hair cut with his hair. Ethan thought he was such a 'COOL DUDE!' with his hair due and a 'TOUGH GUY'. He is giving me his tough guy look.
The funniest thing was every time Ethan walked past anything reflective we would stop and slick up his Mohawk. I thought 'what a greaser'. He was such a little Fonzie.

The Tree House Museum

We went to Utah for the weekend. We went to the Draper temple open house it is a beautiful house of the Lord. It was a little crazy taking three kids to the temple where you should be reverent after having been cooped up in the car for three hours. Then having to wait for a presentation to start and then be QUIET for a presentation about temples and then have to wait for a bus. I was just a bit of a long process. Over all it was a good experience the spirit was very strong and it was nice to be in the celestial room with our family and also the sealing room with the beautiful mirrors that you can see yourself in and going on for eternity.

We were able to visit with Leeann and Dusty. Kyra thought she was on top of the world. She had rocks to play with and put in her mouth, and a purse to play with. Oh and of course LeeAnn and Dusty made sure to have candy for the kids, which they love. Ethan was in heaven candy, movies, and fun with Dusty. He loves Dusty. Thanks for the fun night!

We stayed with my sister Theresa which is always fun. I love spending time with my sisters and their families. We went to the Tree House and played most of the morning until the kids and adults were tired and ready to go. I took lots of pictures but most of them were of Kyra because Ethan was off running around with his dad. It is a great place, but so much to do it is hard to stay together with three little ones. We then went to Brits my niece and had Pizza for lunch YUM YUM. David always love to be able to go and just spend some time relaxing and watching a little TV for fun.

Mattie had fun spending time with Aunt Theresa and Tyson. Tyson is going to have a little sister soon so it was fun to see him giving Mattie loves and that he would let grandma hold her with out being jealous

Kyra had fun playing in the music area surprise surprise. My kids love to make noise and they love their instruments. They always like it best when dad is involved. Dad knows a lot more about music than Mom.

I can't believe she is three months old. she is growing so fast. She has started rolling from her tummy to her back. She brightens the room with her smile. Of course she won't smile for the camera just grins. She loves her brother and sister to play with her. She put up with allot from all of us. Kyra will get in her face and she just smiles at her. Even when they are a little rough with her she doesn't seem to mind. We are very grateful to have this precious daughter in our home.

Ethan was so excited to see Smokey The Bear at story time this week. we were not sure we were going to be able to make it due to the girls being sick. Ethan wanted to go so bad and the girls seemed to be feeling a little better so we ventured out. I am glad we did, Ethan has talked about it all week. Plus Kendra has loved smokey since she was a little girl. she still has a stuffed little Smokey The Bear from her childhood and doesn't really like her kids to play with it but she lets them anyway.

With two babies we go threw lots of dippers and Ethan was playing with one of the boxes. He decided that he wanted to make a robot out of it. I decided that I would be the nice mom and make him a robot. He was hoping it would be really fancy with the foil dryer duct. I don't have that on hand so I ended up covering it with plain paper and he was happy. Sorry I didn't get any pictures of the final product. I also made Kyra one out of a wipe box but she didn't like being in the box much.

Christmas the day after

We had the Miles family Christmas on the 26th. Thanks grandma and papa for the great Christmas. We have fondue which is always very good. I especially liked the carmel desert fondue with the toasted coconut marshmallows. Then we open gifts and enjoy one an others company and this year germs. Ethan threw up in the middle of the night and we just figured it must be the meds he was on for his ears. After many of us came down with it later in the week we decide it must be the stomach flu. Sorry to all who were exposed. Kyra was the one in our family who suffered the most she threw up for over a week. We are not sure if it was a combo of the flu and being on meds for double ear infection or what. They ended up taking her off the meds and giving her a shot. That seemed to do the trick. On the 27th we had an adventure trying to go snowmobiling because of the big snow storm. We ended up going to Janel's house and were able to ride the snowmobiles out on the sod farm. the best part was my baby's were able to be in a nice warm home. Thanks Janel and Travis's dad for hosting us! Most important thanks to grandma and papa for all the fun! then we returned to eat Pizza and hang out. Oh yeah we also got family pictures which we can't wait to see. Thanks Erin and Kip for taking them. Thanks to Emily for wanting that for Christmas.

Sorry the pictures are out of order. This is our family Christmas at grandma and grandpa Miles. Kyra was the first to wake up. Mom tried to keep her busy as long a possible because Santa left his gifts unwrapped for the kids. It was not to long before she spotted her new doll. We decided that we should wake up dad and Ethan. Dad was still really sick in fact we ended up going to the emergency room and found out that he did have strep throat. He really did have a right to not fell well but was a good sport while we opened gifts. Ethan was not as excited as we thought he would be but who can blame him being woke up and having double ear infection he just wanted to cuddle with mom. Once he figured out what was going on he got excited and had lots of fun. All in all it was a good day. Here are a few pictures of the kids with their gifts and the fun they had.

Christmas Eve

Well Christmas break was a little crazy. It started With Ethan saying his ear hurt just before he went to bed on the 23rd . I figured he must have ear infections but when he woke up during the night crying about his ears I knew he did because he has never said a word in the past when he has had ear infections. To the doctors we went and sure enough it was double ear infections. David also woke up Christmas eve morning saying I think I might have strep throat but decide may be he didn't so he didn't t go to the Doctor, but latter that day he was hit hard with a fever and chills but all the doctors were closed. Kendra decided to leave him on the couch at his parents while she took the kids to celebrate Christmas eve with her family. These are pictures from that night.Ethan is checking out his new game but was very disappointed when he found out it took batteries that we didn't have. He would have to wait to play his new game. We thought grandma and grandpa Miles might have some, but they had everything but the ones his game needed. Kyra is checking out her baby doll that has hair. We are hoping she will like to play with her baby's hair as much as she like to play with her moms hair. Moms hair is kyra security blanket every night she runs her fingers through mom hair and pulls it also until she fall asleep.

DRIFTS

We have heard about the wind blowing and drifting the snow but this is our personal experience. I walk out the front door and found this large drift of snow at the base of our stairs. I deiced we might not be going to far at least out the front door. but this is how all the front of our home looked. you can see part of the side walk is clear that is blown clean by the wind not from shoveling.David actually tried to go to the store but the drifts on our road were so bad that he turned around and came home. That night they closed all the east west roads due to drifting but they did a great job of plowing the roads all night. We deiced that today might be the best day to go to Boise if we are going to make it for Christmas because 70%chance of snow the rest of the week.David started to shovel the drift but deiced to wait until we returned because the wind would just fill it back in. We did make it to boise and the roads really were not to bad we are glad we left when we did!

Grandma Miles got the kids these cute matching Christmas outfits. I wanted to get there pictures taken in them and this was the best I could get. They didn't want to hold still they just want to have dinner not take time for a picture. This week I will try again and hope for better results.

First Real Snow! (sorry pictures a little out of order) 12/8/08

Ethan wanted to go out and play in the snow the minute he saw the snow on the ground. I was not sure where all the snow gear was. The search was on and it really didn't take to long to find it all. then we had to figure out what would fit who then the process of getting it on. I asked myself will it be worth the time they are willing to spend out in the cold? It was it was fun to see them play in the snow and eat the snow. I think eating the snow was the big hit for both of them. Ethan wanted me to help him build a snow man but the snow was not wet enough to make balls. I am sure we will have tons of chances to build snowmen.

Ethan was out playing in the snow with his friends. they were having tons of fun. they went sledding down a little dirt hill in the back yard. I was trying to take pictures from inside but none of them turned out. I then got kyra dressed in her snow gear because she was fussing to go outside. That didn't last long it was so cold! I think it really hurt her burnt hand because she started screaming and didn't stop when we got in side.

Mattie is still sleeping a lot, but still getting up 2 to 3 time a night. I really can't complain. She puts up with a lot. interrupt feedings, being hugged and squeezed, scratched, grabbed, but most important LOVED.

we got the swing out today to have something else to put Mattie in but it looks like it might be Kyra's new place to hang out. We had just got it set up and Kyra was getting tired so we put her in gave her a bottle and she was asleep in no time.

I know this looks bad but it actually is looking a lot better. It has been two weeks sense she burned her hand. Today we decided to let it get some fresh air to see if it would help it heal even more. There are parts of it that seem to stay moist from having it wrapped with a sock on it all the time. she has done well having it exposed to the world. she is very careful with it still which I am thankful for.
